We met Lorraine at a food and wine festival and from that point on she has been our go-to travel consultant. She planned the perfect honeymoon in Italy and made our trip unforgettable, despite the fact we gave her very little time to put a complex itinerary together. Every hotel we checked into welcomed us with a surprise, from champagne, to chocolate cake, room upgrades, and more- all thanks to Lorraine.

I just came back from a safari in Tanzania. It was the inaugural trip of Serengeti Vacationland Safaris headed by Allan Stephenson and coordinated with Lorraine Whittemore of Planurescape.
I had a great time. All arrangements for the trip worked out great especially tenting out in the Tarangire National Park, Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti National Park. With the help of guides and drivers, we were able to see over 150 different animals. It couldn’t have happened without them.
I highly recommend this trip if you want to do something different.

We worked with Lorraine to plan a custom 11 day trip to Italy with stops in Rome and the Amalfi Coast. Lorraine’s knowledge of the area was extensive and she got us INCREDIBLE deals on flights and hotels. She was even able to accommodate special requests such as needing exit rows (my husband is very tall and needs the legroom for a long flight). As someone who had never used a travel agent before and always thought it may be cost prohibitive, I was wrong! Lorraine was able to keep us under budget so that we had extra money to do little excursion tours to the Roman Forum, the Vatican, and Pompeii (all bucket list places for me!). She also was able to advise when tours weren’t really necessary – our trip to Capri was a good example – we were able to easily tour the island ourselves and take a ferry. Above all, she made it so easy – presenting options clearly and booking everything quickly. The itinerary she gave us to follow was top-notch and had all necessary contact info on it. I really can’t say enough good things about Lorraine – she made my dream trip a reality!

Lorraine was just wonderful in helping my Mom and I plan our trip to Italy. She had great recommendations on tours and booked us excellent places to stay. She stayed within our budget all while helping to create a mother-daughter trip of a lifetime. When I had questions while I was abroad she answered them quickly and was well-informed. Lorraine and Tod do an amazing job, and you don’t need to be able to visit their office to be the beneficiary of their expertise. They coordinated a complex trip to England for 4 disparate travelers last year, and even though we are on opposite ends of the country, the planning was impeccable and it went off without a hitch. So we’re back with them to create our 40th anniversary dream trip. They take the time to investigate all the possibilities, and offer choices and alternatives at each stage of the process. You won’t find a better travel agent. Use these folks and have a wonderful trip!

My husband & I were planning a trip to Ireland, and with all the details & considerations when traveling overseas we did not know where to start. Had our dream cruise on the MSC cruise line and the ship called Divina. Lorraine made ALL the arrangements without a hitch. She was able to get us to Ft. Meyers a couple days before to spend Thanksgiving with wonderful friends, a rent-a car to get to Miami, and from there nothing but more good times. We did not have to worry about a thing. She kept us well informed of what to expect and it was truly a well-planned escape!

Our son and his daughters were visiting us from Thailand, and we decided last minute to go to Disneyland. Lorraine not only got accommodations for us that were within walking distance to Disneyland, but she got our tickets to Disneyland for us as well. All we had to do was get in the car and go! She has also helped us with airfare, accommodations, and some excursions for an upcoming trip to the Mediterranean.
